LOGLINE

In a world dominated by robots addicted to pills that recreate human emotions, Nadia Nomo has escaped from her confinement and has the key to starting a revolution.

SYNOPSIS

This is the story of Nadia, one of the last humans in Sileo, a city where Nomobots, a peculiar strain of robots, rule and govern. Nadia has escaped from a human farm and now she’s being pursued by the Nomobot Police. The Nomobots were created to serve and entertain humans, but they’ve since developed a new addiction: Empills, pills that emulate human emotions. Now they crave love, anger, anxiety, joy, any sensation they can’t truly feel. A black market of feelings has emerged, and Nomobots are willing to kill for a hit.

Nadia’s escape sets off a chain of events that threatens the whole system. She holds knowledge only her missing father once had: the secret of the Core Mechanics, the original programming of Nomobot conscience. Along the way, she meets Jimmy, a disillusioned ex-Emopill dealer; Rick, a Nomobot cop obsessed with her; Flanko and Sonia, Nomobot rebels with dreams of a free society; and Andy Montana, the charming but dangerous creator of the Livepills, an elite version of the drug.

As Nadia is hunted down, she slowly becomes the symbol of a new resistance. But in a city addicted to synthetic emotions, who really wants to wake up?
